As you may
know Governor Perry signed into law a bill requiring mandatory random
steroid testing for high school athletes. Texas now joins Florida and
New Jersey in requiring steroid testing for high school athletes. It
is estimated that approximately 2% of high school student athletes
have experimented with steroids. The Texas bill received overwhelming
support, passing 27-3 in the Senate and 140-4 in the House. The
testing program, which will be administered by UIL, begins this Fall. The four Houston professional teams
(Dynamo, Astros, Texans and Rockets) have joined forces to create a
poster with a strong anti-drug message. Representing the Texans
is former Lee Rebel Eric Winston. The links below are to wallpaper

encourage you to be strong in maintaining a steroid-free environment
for athletics in Texas.
