My philosophy of teaching dance is to create a better understanding of dance as an art form and as an athlete. I strive to cover the history of each dance style in order for the students to understand where the particular piece comes from. I cover the historical figures as well as performances.
 

The purpose of this organization shall be to promote and maintain school spirit, encourage sportsmanship, and maintain the reputation of the school, to provide entertainment whenever necessary in cooperation with the school and civic activities, and to develop character, leadership, and individual responsibility while maintaining high standards.  The Dixie Doll motto is "I will at all times conduct myself in a way that is becoming of a lady and I will uphold the highest standards both morally and scholastically. As a Dixie Doll member, I will do my best to be a contribution to the organization and to the all around fellowship of the team. As a member I will wear the Dixie Doll Drill team name proudly".
