The 2008 Spring event will be hosted at the Lee Field House / Turf Room on Thursday, May 8.  The Lift-A-Thon will begin at 6:00pm for the junior varsity and 6:45pm for the varsity.  The annual fundraiser benefits the Lee football program and is a great chance to meet head coach Randy Quisenberry.  Information will also be available for Booster Club memberships, spirit items, and ads in the Rebel Illustrated.  The evening will allows the Rebel athletes to do a little muscle flexing.

Coach Randy Quisenberry and his staff will get right to business with the 2008 Spring Training sessions.  The Rebels running game may get the main focus from Coach Quis from April 21 through May 14... and beyond.  This will be in part to the unfortunate absence of upcoming junior quarterback Jace Edwards, who is recovering from a shoulder injury.  The Rebels will have their first inter squad scrimmage of 2008 in Grande Communications Stadium on May 3, beginning at 10am.

Lee's Corey Petro and Josey Childs scored two touchdowns each, and the Rebel defense held Mansfield Summit to 227 total yards in the 28-7 Bi-District victory.  Summit's only touchdown came on a fumble return on the second play of the game. Jace Edwards led the Rebels on an 8-play, 80-yard drive that ended with a Petro 1-yard TD run.  Petro scored on an 11-yard run in the fourth quarter, and Childs scored on 1-yarders in the second and third quarters. Petro finished with 135 yards on 24 carries, and Edwards was 8 of 11 passing for 82 yards. Lee had Cooper's number from the opening kickoff.  The Rebels exploded for 179 yards and four touchdowns on the ground - including two of 45 or more yards.  All in the first half of the 35-28 Rebel victory.  Following a 50-yard return on the opening kickoff, Lee drove 26 yards to score.  The Rebel offense cruised right along on five of six first-half possessions.  LHS will now focus its attention on the post-season, where a rematch with Mansfield Summit is in order.
